    Jared Diamond writes good books. I liked his Guns, Germs, and Steel, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this one.

      that was a good review. Inspiring to see diamond's level of journalism and i am impressed the reviewer has the presence of mind and elucidation to point out what he did, there in the nyt.

        That's Gregg Easterbrook's review, yeah? I read it, but I have a built-in bias against the guy from other stuff he's written. He's got some of the screwiest notions about science and its practitioners I've ever seen.
