We've got a separate thread about the Hawaiian Grammy award, but I'm starting this one to see what folks thought about the Grammy broadcast in general.
Personally, it was more of a concert than an award show, as there were more live performances than awards given out! The show was 3-1/2 hours long and only 7 awards? Sheesh.
Kanye West was the best live performer, closely followed by that rockin' version of "Sweet Home Alabama". But I thought Usher's performance was a tribute to Michael Jackson. Seriously, I thought it was, for a while!
Loved all the new ads, especially some really clever ones from Heineken ("the official beer of the Grammy Awards"). I thought the ads during the Grammys were a ton better than the ads during the SuperBowl.
Anyone else watch the whole show and have an opinion or comment?
