battlefield earth = "hilariously gawdawful"
couldn't sleep last nite so, for some inexplicable reason, started watching this train wreck on the telly.
It is a fabulous film... to learn what NOT to do when producing a movie:
absurd annoying tilted camera angles.
Bad, gimmicky slow screen wipes/transitional effects.
awful editing.
framing was bad.
camera too close to actors; couldn't understand what da hell was going on.
Barry pepper is one bad actor. as was travolta.
most of the audio indeciferable. badly miked.
Ugly costumes.
ha... and travolta, upon the release of this dog, pompously proclaimed: "Every kid will want to be wearing the battlefield earth creature costume this halloween"
This has gotta be the worst piece of crapfilm ever pawned on the worthy masses.
which makes me think;
why not have a:
"what's the worst film YOU saw..."

"But here's the thing: "Battlefield Earth" is so bad, it's actually wildly entertaining. When the credits rolled, my cheeks hurt from laughing. I hated this movie, and I had a great time doing it."
