They had it last in the Kapiolani Park Band stand on June 26th.

If they have more Demos for other times,
I will post them up as soon as I hear of it.

        Thanks again.

Cool. I read that this is connected to the recent formation of the Thai Association of Hawai'i. It's always good when you get a chance to try somebody else's food.

                  Re: Thai Festival July 8,2005.

Who went to the the Thai Festival?

Did you get the chance to see my (Muay Thai kickboxing) gang?

What did you think? Any Comments would be appreciated.

I went there with my friend to see it, as he has never seen
what kickboxing is in person. He was pretty much impressed.

Hope to hear any comments soon, from the ones who saw it.

                  Take care & God Bless.

                  Aloha.

I went and saw it. I don't have any experience to compare it to, but I thought the demo was well organized and well-executed. Wish my boyfriend could have seen it--he has been to Thailand and has been to the bars where kickboxing takes place on a regular basis. His opinion would probably have been more useful than mine!

The only complaint I had (and this was about the whole Thai fest in general) was that people were talking so loudly in Honolulu Hale that the people on the stage were drowned out when they were speaking, even with the aid of the microphone. I couldn't more than a few words explaining what was going on from my seat in the back. The only time everybody was quiet was when they started giving away prizes--unfortunately the winning number for the grand prize, a trip to Thailand, was 072--and of course, I had 071.

Raves for the food--you got your money's worth for the $25, I thought, and I also enjoyed all the cultural entertainment. Great restaurants and for the most part, friendly people (Chef Chai, please smile a little next time! You looked mad the entire time you were preparing food.).

Hope they do the Thai Festival every year!

I'm glad that you came & enjoyed the demo. yes, I'm sure they even have alot of brawls, too I bet.Speaking of "wishes", I wish alot of people would take more ineterest in it for the excercise &/or self defense.

Yeah, same here. That's why my friend & I found a seat on the far front left, which we could see better. I am sorry that it was noisy back there for ya. Atleast it was more of a visual & you atleast saw more than you heard. Dang!. You missed it by this much!. |---|

I noticed that, too. I was afraid to go buy the $25.00 tickets, because I thought they might get mad at me for asking them for some food.

I am not sure about when the next Thai Festivals is, but if my kickboxing gang will have another demo, I wil most definately post it up. They had it last in June 26 at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand.

BTW- quite a few people who knew me, also saw me there.
that was pretty neat, I thought.

Glad you went & saw it any way. My other gang at the gym I go to, they haven't gotten to that intense of kickboxing, yet. It will be almost a year for all of them, soon. Well, glad you went.
                        Take care & Aloha. :-)

                        God Bless.

That's ok, that's an honest mistake.

Maybe next time. I will definately have it posted up (when or if I hear of it).

                          Sorry you missed it.

Hope you have a good day, any way.
