"While those who work with Bacon say she is one of the museum's treasures, the soft-spoken Manoa resident is humble about her contributions. 'Our grandma (Pa'ahana Wiggin) said, 'You don't put yourself over this person or that person. They know what they know; we know what we know,' Bacon said."

Re: The Auntie of Bishop Museum
She truly is a very sweet person. What she sets herself to do she does whole-heartedly. Not for selfish reasons, but because she wants to preserve what she can of the Hawai'ian culture and traditions for the future. Mahalos Aunty Pat !Life is either an adventure... or you're not doing it right!!!

Re: The Auntie of Bishop Museum
Just wanted to say Mahalo for sharing this article. Kumu Hula Keli`i Chang mentioned Auntie Pat at our last workshop, and at the time, I really didn't know much more about her than a) she was Pukui's hanai daughter, and b) she's made great contributions to the Hawaiian culture. I think I'd like to meet her someday.~'Ailina
