Hawaiian Grammar Guides: Pukui/Elbert vs. Judd

I just ordered Pukui & Elbert's Hawaiian Grammar. After browsing a bit, I also found Judd's The Hawaiian Language & Hawaiian-English Dictionary: A Complete Grammar Study.

My first choice for any scholarly material is always Pukui. But I'm curious...is Judd's (or anyone else's) material as comprehensive and correct? Has anyone been impressed by similar works written by authors OTHER than Pukui?
