  • Valiant

Saw Valiant at Ward Theatre on Saturday mid-day with a friend. It is animated movie about a young and small pigeon named Valiant who joins a British carrier pigeon unit to deliver messages across the English Channel during World War II. Also in the unit are a couple not to bright pigeon brothers, a stuffy educated pigeon and a smelly pigeon who joined up to avoid being beat up a couple of crows who he stiffed in a shell game. The five of them have to brave high winds, the dark of night and enemy falcons!

It was an okay movie to watch, bits of humor, bits of chase scenes, the training of the pigeons and other stuff.

Stick around for the ending credits, there are no scenes afterwards but some interesting names popped like Wille Coyote and a super minor character in the movie named Dennis.

    Re: Valiant

We took our girls to see this last week one afternoon after school. They loved it! Mind you, they are 4 and 6! I found it really awful. The music was pretty good, though, more of an Andrews Sisters kinda feel to it all. Wartime songs from WWII.
Definitely not wartime songs from the 60s or the present.

I give this one two fistfuls of feathers DOWN.
