How do you feel about the EDIT POST feature?

• "Back-peddling" way out? lol
In a perfect world, I'd rather not. It gives the original post more believability and substance when the post remains original from the start.
Yet, as much as I attempt to proof pre-post, for one reason or another I often end up having to add/remove content, correct a typo' or realize I just said something that sounds really dumb (O.K., no jokes now!)
I hate when that happens.
