  • TV shows from our local imagination

How about being creative and tell us what shows you'd like to see localized? What would the plot be like? (This is just the fun and creative side of me hoping that you will jump on for the ride).

Well there is always NCIS: Pearl Harbor, just move the cast from NCIS to this location.

Can do a spin-off/sequel series from Lost and call it Found. The castaways are finally rescued but they only make it to Honolulu. Have flashback sequences to the time when they are stuck on the island while trying to adjust to life on Oahu.

Have a spy based series called The Bruddah from Auntie and they battle various villians and henchpeople named Professor Maybe, Even Task, Mrs. Gladys Silva-Thumb and Fartball (yeah I know these are Bond villans but what the heck).

One that did get produced during the mid 1990s was 'The Hulamooners'; the local version of the old 'Honeymooners'. The ensemble cast broke up after 2 episodes but what a funny 2 episodes. It was written by the 2 male stars, Ray Bumatai and Tracy Anderson and was first 'tested' at Manoa Valley Theater then aired on either K5 or KHNL.

            "Everybody Loves Kimo" might work.
