  • His Majesty (fo reelz?)

Okay...I've done as much as I could reading and now I have a headache...wish I could see the family tree. Is any of this legit?

    http://www.indybay.org/news/2005/12/1787165.php

The royal lineages of King Kamehameha, the first Hawaiian monarch; High Chief Kamehameha Nui of Maui Island; and Queen Liliu'okalani, the last reigning Hawaiian Monarch are reaching out from the past to re-establish the Hawaiian Island Kingdom to it's former glory. All of these lineages, together with those of several chiefly lines connected to all of the Hawaiian Islands, converge in the genealogy of Edmund Keli'i Silva, Jr., as confirmed by the House of Nobles of the Kingdom of Hawai'i. As a result, these same nobles sought out Mr. Silva and asked his to serve as the next reigning monarch of the Hawaiian Islands in an effort to restore the kingdom to its once independent state.

    Re: His Majesty (fo reelz?)

Every time someone tells me they are working to restore the Hawaiian kingdom and that their version of the kingdom is the true, correct version of sovereignty, I ask them who would be king under the new kingdom.

    "Who? You?"

If they answer yes, I have all the information I need.

Chee, how many "King Kamehamehas" does this make now? There was some guy a while back calling all Hawaiians to meet at 'I'olani Palace to restore the kingdom. I cringed. I could just see this nut walking up the steps of the palace and trying to sit on the throne.

The most widely accepted version by genealogy of "who would be king," or queen, names Abigail Kawananakoa as the current "rightful heir" to the throne. http://starbulletin.com/2005/01/10/news/story7.html

As I recall, Bernice Pauahi was the last Kamehameha, and she refused the crown. After that the royal line passed to the Kalakaua line. Kawananakoa is a descendant of Kalakaua.

As you say in your post, show me the genealogy.
