  • Baking cookies for christmas

My family is baking cookies for families to give out as goodie bags during this year's christmas lunch.

My Mom is thinking of baking 100 cookies and thinking that it'll take a while, she started last night.

    1) Isn't it too early to bake cookies that will be eaten on the 25th?
    2) If not, then where will the best place be to store them until then?
    3) any cookie recipes anyone want to share?
How'd I get so white and nerdy?

Put them in a airtight container. Zip bags let in too much moisture.

You can freeze them without problem just make sure they are completely cool before freezing. I usually make sugar cookies and I will take them out of the freezer the night before and decorate them the same day I plan to deliver them. Here is a link to a couple of recipes I like: Lemon Sugar Cookies and Sugar Cookies

If you don't want to decorate cookies, try adding crushed peppermint candies to the cookie dough - these are especially tasty with hot chocolate.
