Im new in hea. I found dis place by reading one post at Alohaworld.com in da lanai about da slippahs you guys helped make possible for dem keeds. I tink that was so Awesome! I just wanted to say das great of everyone who could help make it possible.

I grew up on O'ahu in Kaneohe an moved to California and now have just moved to Missouri (its 23 degrees outside right now).... I just cannot imagine dat tings have gotten so bad dat even da most disadvantaged parents no can afford rubbah slippahs... we was poor growing up but we could always get new slippahs .... real tennyshoes now das another story had to save for dat kine.
but it is happening all over das da main reason we moved out hea everyting getting too expensive.

wen I first left da Island I neva have choice... My mom dumped me (I was 15) on my father wen she moved to Tennesee (at least I didnt have to go tru total culture shock). aftah dat nevah have da kala to go back... so now dat everyting got even more expensive den in Ca we wen decide it bettah for da keikis to move to Missouri (wea my hubby from). da schools are good an da pp; nice... now if I can find more shops dat seel local kine foods wid out going to Kansas I be ok
But I get my sistah an niece an great nephew there for visit so not too bad
