  • this forum name is abhorrent

capitalism has brought many blessings to all the people of hawaii including the aborigines

without the civilizing influence of american commerical power the islands would either be enslaved by primitive practices like human sacrifice or the fanaticism of the japanese suicide bombers

lets try to remember the blessings america brings

why is it called the american asylum?

while this great country of ours is truly an asylum from the dictatorships of the outside world, but the word has the unpleasant connotation which fifth column traitors might harness. america is not a madhouse and that should not be implied. it should not even be offered as a potential propaganda tool. as a proud american i demand that we change this forum to

        AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL

which is a sentiment we surely all endorse. amen and GOD BLESS AMERICA

why are we remembering monarchists? monarchy is the antithesis of freedom. our founding fathers fought to rid themselves of monarchy, an event we celebrate every year. we should not glorify these tyrants. rather we should focus on the future, on the fight ahead of us against muslim radicals who hate the western christian tradition of freedom.

Stumphurple, if you want to post about American politics, please post in the appropriate forum. As a newcomer, you will also not make the most positive impression by comparing our island's former monarchs to tyrants.

Please tread lightly. You are welcome to join our community, but if you are going to primarily criticize and condemn it, perhaps you might be happier elsewhere.

stop trolling. dont edit my message out of context. i was specifically referring to the 'american asylum' which would have been clear if you presented my message truthfully.

dont resort to fifth column tactics kimo.

                      thank you for your support.

also why are we perpetuating alien political systems with words like alii? the monarchy was abolished for freedom. what do you think my friend about this transgression of liberty?

                        Re: Today in History...

i am FROM hawaii not a newcomer.

i have studied the history of hawaii. i know about the monarchs. back in da day dey wen whack youa head off if even go stand in da shadow! what if you like foa shade ah? and den letta on they dont get moa betta. they drink and gamble and murder their children. these are not admirable people.

i am not condemning the community. i love hawaii ok admin? but what worries me is that a lot of the discussion on this forum seems to be anti-american. this thread is about today in history. someone brings up queen emma a historical figure and thats completely appropriate. what i object to is then taking the additional step of glorifying this monarch. i dont think thats an appropriate use of this thread and this view may also be harmful to impressionable children. i support legitimate discussion of hawaii interest and i plan to contribute to those. however these forums should not be used to foment hatred against our country. how is that unreasonable?

as for american politics thank you for the link. i will contribute in that thread when applicable as well.

ps could we find a name other than american asylum for the america thread? it can be construed in an insulting manner to our great nation and im sure that wasnt what was intended.
