In 2005 Maryland Packaging and its Board of Directors showed interest in expanding in a different arena utilizing Maryland Packaging’s knowledge and ability to understand and produce very high end products and packaging.
Marwan Moheyeldien and through extensive research honed in on the Anti Aging products and particularly products from the Dead Sea. With gross markup margins of 700% it was a no brainer. Marwan Moheyeldien Identified and chose a very elegant French name Lajeunesse (the essence of youth) and incorporated in the United States and in Switzerland.
We then hired Hirshorn and Zuckerman Design Group a leading design group with a clear understanding and vision in marketing Anti Aging products and cosmetics.
Hirshorn and Zuckerman designed a marvel of a label and corporate identity. It is with this design and the incredible quality of our product line and our great ability to package that I believe that LaJeunesse has the making of becoming a leader in this arena. It is my intention and mission to create one of the largest Franchise Op and then go public with LaJeunesse.
LaJeunesse Product Line and its competitors
In the late 80’s and early 90’s some of the key players in the cosmetic industry realized that the thrust and future of their industry lies in the Anti Aging Arena. Those major companies spend millions and millions of dollars in research and studies to confirm the alleged benefits of the Dead Sea Products. These allegations have been made since Biblical times. After years of research it was indeed confirmed that the Dead Sea and its products do have tremendous values and hence the creation of companies like Ahava were created. Israel became a leading nation in supporting the mining of the Dead Sea and its great products for the use in the Anti Aging and Cosmetics industry.
Marwan Moheyeldien contacted the Jordanian government and learned that the Country of Jordan had just started encouraging the mining of the Dead Sea products and had a great interest in having LaJeunesse become the leading importer of Dead Sea products out of Jordan.
After many meetings and much negotiation, Marwan Moheyeldien was able to reach an agreement with the government through its private sector charter and name Maryland Packaging as the sole importer of the Dead Sea products, and for a five year period beginning January of 2006 have a preferred vendor status hence not paying any duty for products coming out of Jordan in the Cosmetics and Health and Beauty products.
Our Vision

Even though a Dead Sea product Kiosk exists in almost every Mall in America, all the existing vendors are Mom Pop type of organization. No one has emerged as the leader in this category.

It is our vision to achieve two goals:
1) Build the largest Franchise Op
2) Create the largest Brand Name in the Anti Aging multi billion dollar market.

It is vision to create a franchise network of 2500 Kiosks over the next two years. In order to achieve that goal we interviewed and qualified a number of top attorneys to write the UFSCO and the Standard Operating Procedures, file and register in all required States.
We also interviewed and qualified a number of Sales organizations that specialize in the sales of franchises and training of employees and franchisors.
