What's going on around the Ala Moana Shopping Center

I know there are building a Nordstrom store on the Diamond Head/makua side of the Ala Moana Shopping Center. But I notice that Cutter lot on the Ewa side of the shopping center is empty of cars for the last couple of days and there is something being set aside where the country buses start their route.

Anyone got an idea what's going on there?

It does explain the section of where the country buses start their routes, it's going to rebuild that parking lot.

Doesn't explain the Cutter lot being empty.

Let's just hope they never get permission to expand into Ala Moana Beach Park.

remember how it was once upon one time?
Had party center mauka side, i think where the pet shop is now.
Lotta open airy space. Now, it's all closed up. Claustrophobic.
had alotta cool sculptures and great tile artwork and a tile multiciolor compass thing on the ground in the center. Had big tikis here and there. Was just looking at old home movie footage of it in the 60's. Sure looked great then.
