  • Beer drinking may cause lung cancer

Yeah, I know. How could beer cause lung cancer? Why beer has a negative effect and wine doesn't is a good question. Alcohol is alcohol, right?

The article ends with, "Differences in the lifestyles of beer versus wine drinkers could also be part of the equation, although the Montreal researchers tried to eliminate that factor by separating results according to income and education level."

Sounds like there was an assumption that "beer drinkers" have one level of income and education, while "wine drinkers" have a different level. If that was assumed, then the study would have such a large bias it would be basically invalid.
