    Anyone on here have a booster seat that your child has out grown and wants to make a barter/trade/ or small sale off of it?

    Let me know... I'm good for $20.00 if anyone has one in decent shape.

    When shopping, be aware of the NHTSA guidance on reuse of child seats after crashes. An excerpt from their website is as follows:

    "NHTSA Position
    NHTSA recommends that child safety seats be replaced following a moderate or severe crash in order to ensure a continued high level of crash protection for child passengers.

    NHTSA recommends that child safety seats do not automatically need to be replaced following a minor crash.

    Minor crashes are those that meet ALL of the following criteria:

    The vehicle was able to be driven away from the crash site;

    The vehicle door nearest the safety seat was undamaged;

    There were no injuries to any of the vehicle occupants;

    The air bags (if present) did not deploy; AND

    There is no visible damage to the safety seat".

    The complete text can be found here.

    Hope this helps.

      Good point. Like helmets and other safety equipment, used stuff can be a crapshoot. It might look fine, but still be compromised.

      Make sure your source is trustworthy... or better yet, buy new and be sure. Pinch pennies in another area.
