    But in a more serious vein, you lead me to below about a Japanese world record holder with a San Jose State student challenger:

          There's also Shane Victorino from St. Anthony's High School who is playing center field for the Philadelphia Phillies. He was in the middle of smashing the New York Mets this past weekend and Mets announcer Ron Darling (who was born in Honolulu) was talking about Shane's Maui ties.
