when I log on, I look for two links: the "latest posts" link, and the one on the bottom, next to the list of current o/l users, which shows who is reading which thread at that moment.

The #1 thread that seems to have at least a couple of people reading it at any given time on HT has to be the "sacrilegious commericalization of culture" thread.

What gives with that one?? This is the conjecture thread.

      ...so I wasn't quite clear...

I should have specified Current Users Online as the other link I frequently hit whenever I log onto HT. Especially since the forum folders don't archive that far back, the C.U.O. link is a great way to see what's been written before.

If you want to see older threads you can modify a setting on your account to look at all threads.

Go into User CP, then click on Edit Options. Find the setting labeled Default Thread Age Cut Off and change it to Show all threads.

thanks Helen. I didn't pay attention to that option before.

Holy smokes! That "sacrilegious" thread has over 44,500 views! The only other threads that I saw come close were over 7000 views.
