    What's good fam...

I just rented "The Californians" from Blockbuster. Never heard of it before, but it turned out to be a great film. It's a satire (I really like satires) about ecologists vs. developers in Cali (inspired by Henry James' The Bostonians. Kinda relevant to beachfront and gated community developers in our state, and worth a few good laughs. Check it out on imdb.com

gotta see: Tae Guk Gi - The Brotherhood of War...
saw part of this movie a few months ago at my brother's house, and caught my attention.

I however did not remember about it until about 2 weeks ago, while making my next Netflix selection... Just saw it this past weekend---sorry, I cried at the end, it was that emotional!

I feel it was even better than 'Saving Pvt. Ryan'.

This has to be one of the best movies I have seen---about two brothers having to fight in the Korean War...5 stars out of 5 stars!!!

Coffee and Cigarettes directed by Jim Jarmusch.

No middle ground. You are either going to love it or hate it. I really enjoyed it.

MAGNIFICENT film!!! French-Canadian, but no need to understand French to "get" it - the story is told visually, rather than through dialogue, and the music is fantastic. I strongly second this recommendation.
