So you don't have to shout out what year you were born...

However, I was born in the year of the Rooster!

"Roosters are hard workers; shrewd and definite in their decision making, often speaking their minds. Because of this, Roosters seem to boast. They like to put all their cards on the table and respect those who do the same,"

Think that states me pretty darn well considering I'm not Chinese!

    What are you?

like most all exoteric dime store astrology, whether it's chinese or amelican, this kinda description can and is applicable to about 1/4th the population. and the other 3/4th would ascribe it to themselves.

                  Woof!
(Or more appropriately, for Chinese astrology: "Wan-wan!")

Funny, dogs & dragons are not supposed to get along at all - yet the Alpha Female is Dragon.

Wood Tiger here, married to a Fire Snake. Supposedly not a recommended combination, but then again, neither is female Leo and male Scorpio. We haven't killed each other yet.

Hey when I entered in 1969 using the chinese western Converter.... it said I was something other than a rooster...
                      Element: Earth
                      Animal: Chicken

Now what am I... a rooster or a chicken? You can't tell me there the same thing.... I never ate Rooster meat!

Just kidding everyone... I know a Rooster is a Male Chicken!

                        Re: Chinese Astrology

Some "converters" are pretty weak. They'll tell you, for example, that 1998 is the "Year of the Tiger." Never mind that the lunar year is not the same as the calendar year, and hence, my daughter -- who was born January 26 that year -- is actually an ox. She missed being a tiger by a couple of days.

Of course, most of her classmates are tigers, and most people just go with the calendar year kludge, so we say she's an honorary tiger anyway.

                          Re: Chinese Astrology

Chinese say that your worst lifemate is 6 yrs opposite. Of these polar relationships, considered the most doomed is the tiger-monkey union. For a tiger, the monkey is his nemesis. The tiger is stubborn and brazen and exasperates his monkey wife. Yet the selfish and cunning monkey will outwit him time and again. If they stay together, they will still end up living separate lives.

And it has worked pretty good for us all these years.
