Gates Scholar Tom Billins attributes his award to his participation in the Law Enforcement Explorers. Gates Millennium Scholarships help remove financial barriers to college for deserving ethnic-minority students.

I knew him from the Law Enformcement Explorers program, and I'm just glad I know someone who got a scholarship from Bill Gates.

wow. what a kid! it's nice to know that kid will have a chance to fulfill his dreams.

i've never a particular fan of bill gates but that scholarship must be helping thousands of deserving kids each year. that's pretty cool...
