Hmm. Most of this sounds ok to me, as somebody who lives off Kaonohi a mile or so mauka of the intersection. I particularly like putting a median on Kaonohi to keep people from jaywalking/turning into either the swap meet or upper Pearlridge Center, although I'm not too pleased with the aesthetics of a 4-foot high chain-link fence to do it.
I don't quite understand why DOT wants to do this, though:
It's two lanes mauka and makai now, with a center turn lane. This implies narrowing it or something, which makes no sense. I wonder what they're thinking.
