  • Eureka: SciFi

just caught what i think was the first episode of a new scifi series called eureka and it was funny. it's scifi but with a quirky kind of humor (mainly through the lead male character).

you can learn more about the show by checking out their website: http://www.scifi.com/eureka/

i think it runs on tuesday evenings....
525,600 minutes, 525,000 moments so dear. 525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year?

We caught the promos during Psych. Actually, it looks pretty entertaining. Sci-fi with a sense of humor. A lot of the bigger, original SciFi channel shows are great, but can take themselves too seriously. We might throw it into our TiVo and give it a whirl. Thanks for the reminder!

I missed the Tuesday premire but it was re-aired on Sunday afternoon (I still missed the first 3 or 4 minutes of it). Noticed a couple of supporting actors who did guest stars roles on Stargate SG-1, The First Wave and Matt Frewer as an Australian accented biological containment specialist who tends to miss his main target and hits a bystanding human with a sleep dart.

The 2 hour pilot episode does an okay job setting up the series with the characters and an underline plot line that involves a conspiracy trying to get access to super-secert research section.

Tonight's episode was pretty interesting dealing with cloning, time shifting, universal remote control and smart houses.

So far the character I like is Henry.

yeah, it was pretty funny. so far, so good. the relationship between jack and allison seems to have jumped big time from episode one but i guess the writers wanna make it interesting. jo's character is terrific (very funny) but the writers don't give her much room to do anything. too bad. i hope it gets better as the season goes on...

What I liked about that episode in the beginning was Jo's response to Jack's question about a form that needs to be filled out to be undead.

Tonight's episode deal with a memory wipe device, bulletproof vest and a jet pack!

Of course the character people are going to want to hate over the long term is Beverly.

Anyone want to hazard a guess what's in Section 5 that sort of requires an expensive radation suit to see it?

i'm enjoying the show but not really spending any time speculating on what that thing is. in tuesday's episode, it was clear that the guy was not afraid of whatever it is and felt "ready" for whatever it is. i'm guessing off hand that it's a higher living organism and that the show, if it ever has a final episode, will have a happy ending with the "thing" leaving earth to return to where it came from. total specualtion, of course, your guess?

ps: the dry humor is pretty funny...

I taped tonight's episode (9/26) since I get home after the episode starts but watching the last few minutes of the episode it says that next week's episode is the season finale.

Just saw the season finale for Eureka. Not much of a cliffhanger however I have to wonder about the following:

Why only Kim died and not more people since Stark was next to her.

Did anyone catch the comic book reference to the alternate future with the Stark Industries building?

Was rebroadcast at 9pm, which is when I saw it. Normally it re-airs on Friday afternoon at 5 pm but Doctor Who will be showing in that time slot.
