Twenty four pages in our last round (http://www.hawaiithreads.com/showthread.php?t=9727) (here's round one (http://www.hawaiithreads.com/showthread.php?t=966) and two (http://www.hawaiithreads.com/showthread.php?t=9389)), and folks getting snippy... seems like it's about time to start a new chapter.

Please take some time to explain a little bit about the name you're posting, using links where possible. And if you suddenly find it's just you and another player online at the same time posting fast and furious back and forth... take a break and let others have a chance.

And again, no nitpicking unless you contribute the next answer yourself! :p

David "Davy" Crockett (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Crockett), 19th-century American folk hero usually referred with the popular title "King of the Wild Frontier". He represented Tennessee in the U.S. Congress, served in the Texas revolution, and died at the Battle of the Alamo.

Have at it.

Billie Jean Moffitt King (born November 22, 1943 in Long Beach, California) is a retired tennis player from the United States. During her career, she won 12 Grand Slam singles titles, 14 Grand Slam women's doubles titles, and 11 Grand Slam mixed doubles titles. She is generally considered to be one of the greatest female tennis players and female athletes in history. King has been an outspoken advocate against sexism in sports and society. Arthur Lyman (Billy's Uncle) (February 2, 1932 - February 24, 2002) popularized a jazzy style of Hawaiian music during the 1950s, and gathered a following as a purveyor of so-called exotic music or Exotica. As a child, Lyman moved to the large Hawaiian city of Honolulu, where he became interested in the music of Benny Goodman and Lionel Hampton. He learned to play along with their records on a toy marimba. At the age of 14, he joined a jazz group and by his early 20s was performing with "mood music" king Martin Denny.

Captain James Cook
Captain James Cook, FRS (October 27, 1728 (O.S.) – February 14, 1779) was an English explorer, navigator and cartographer. He made three voyages to the Pacific Ocean, accurately charting many areas and recording several islands and coastlines on European maps for the first time. His most notable accomplishments were the British discovery and claiming of the east coast of Australia; the European discovery of the Hawaiian Islands; and the first recorded circumnavigation and mapping of Newfoundland and New Zealand. Cook died in Hawaii in a fracas with Hawaiians during his third exploratory voyage in the Pacific in 1779.

In 1972, he declared martial law, which allowed him to stay in power until lifting it in 1981. He was elected the same year to another full term which was marred by personal health issues, political mismanagement, human rights violations, and rampant graft and corruption. In 1986, he was re-elected for the fourth time in a disputed snap election. As a result, that same year he was removed from office peacefully by the "People Power" EDSA Revolution.
