  • eatery in the downtown area: ex-addicts

i was gonna pm auntie but then i thought that others should know about it, too, so here's the question: auntie, there was an article on the front page of one of the two major papers about a month ago and it was about a guy who runs an eatery in the downtown area. that in itself is not noteworthy but the guy is an ex-addict and all his employees are ex-addicts, too and that's what so cool about the story. he said that no one would give him a break cuz of his past so he decided to start his own place and give others like him a chance to make it back.

i tried to find the story online a day after it ran but it wasn't (!) one of the stories available.

anyway, if you know the name of the place, please let me know. i'd like to support that guy's effort by eating there whenever i'm in the area. thanks.

I wonder where on Fort Street? I looked for an address or landmark in the article but didn't see any.

Auntie, did you spell it "resturants"?

'cause it should be "restaurants." Maybe you had a typo that messed it up?

              happens all the time!

Or maybe the search engine just mucked it up. That happens all the time, too.

Don't worry about the grammar/spelling police Auntie... I searched for the term "chinatown drug addict restaurant honolulu" on Google, and it popped right up.

Doesnt Google say "did you mean..." when it senses a mispelling?

Anyway, I remember seeing that story on the news. Great story.
