In 2003, 40% of high school seniors planned to "only" pursue post-secondary education. In 2005, the percentage had dropped to just 5%.
Only 4 out of 5 high school students graduate "on-time", within 4 years. The remainder take longer, or do not grad at all.
Hawaii remains 50th (lowest) in the nation for state and local expenditures for public education.
