Wow Auntie, how sad. Heaven forbid the next thing you'll be telling me is that Char Hung Sut closed down too which is one place that should be a mandatory stop for when you take Tikiyaki and others on tour, and if I remember correctly for some strange reason are also closed on Tuesdays.
Char Hung Sut did a major renovation about a year ago. They not going closed down. Now the granddaughters (beautiful young woman) are handling the service line. You still can see the employees on the table making the manapua, half moons, rice cakes, pork hash, etc. by hand. Still can order their Chow Fun too. I took Joel and his family there.
As for closing on Tuesdays. I go ask why the next time I go there.heheheh
Lurkah, Sad to report Wo Fat is no longer a part of Chinatown. What once was the Famous Eatery in Chinatown is now empty. The third floor was used as a Game Room and Xrated Video Movie Shows which was closed down by HPD some time ago.

Auntie, how's the kaukau at Wo Fat in Chinatown these days? It's been decades since I was last there for a wedding reception where as part of the 9-course dinner they served some really ono shark fin and bird nest soup along with kau yuk and those small steaming-hot white buns.

As I said about that list... I'm so glad that it has helped someone out...and I hope it helps others too.
If your gonna get hooked on cold stone... you my as well let me be the one gets you hooked on it... that way you can whack me when you have your cold stone cravings later on!
Surfingfarmboy.... Keep auntie away from Cold Stone!!! She's gotten over most of her addictions... I don't want her picking up Cold Stone
Manoa, wat I told you about keeping your nose outta my business? Dis is one of them. Gotten over of most of my addictions? Hello? Since when you keeping tabs on me? If you must know, this month is my 6th Anniversary of being Cocaine Free! Yeah, I still partake in drinking alcohol when I want. When I want. How much I want. As for gambling. I already explained my feelings in my previous posts.
I'm not innocent. Never have claimed to be. I have shared my experiences and pain freely on the Internet in hopes that one person can learn from my mistakes and not make the same as I have done.
As far as being Mental. Got news for you too. Remember the list of signs I posted for you? Well, I revcieved an email late last night from someone who was troubled. That list opened up a door for him. He got the courage to email me and ask for help. He asked what he needed to do next. I am not a professional. However, I told him where he needs to go and he can always count on me to listen cause I care.
Ahhhh...Cold Stone. Do not choose or stop anyone from taking me out for a bite to eat! Food to me is SACRED!!!!
My boyfriend is running again this year...but the only prob is that they moved the U2/Pearl Jam Concert to the night before!!! Of course we have tickets...
We usually celebrate at Duke's with champagne after the marathon. Anybody else interested in joining us? Not sure if my boyfriend will be awake for champagne if he says up late with the concert the night before a marathon.
Dang... isn't Dukes... Insanely OVERCROWDED after the marathon?
Just wondering with so many people in town for it and the Marathon ending in Waiks?

I'm very curious as to how the games play in there, and if there could be any possible strategy for improving ones odds in winning whatever is at stake among the patrons of Nikkie's. (That is, if one can improve odds in a pinball-type game.)
Randy, It would take less than 15 minutes to show you how the games are played and the set up. The owner wouldn't allow anyone to bring in any strangers to do that. However, I am Auntie Lynn of Chinatown and I've known Nikki for many years. Too many to count.
As far as possible stategies on improving one's odds. hahahaha Gamblers always think they have the perfect strategy in beating the machine or house. Reality ~ no way. Wishful thinking. Yes, sometimes by luck there is a Big Winner but more than likely that winner returns thinking he/she will hit again. In time the money he/she made goes back and then some.
Gambling is an illness. Can you imagine how sick I was when I was addicted to drugs, alcohol and gambling? On top of that I was medically ill and Mental. What a difference I find myself today in. Yipppeeeeee!
Still Mental but balanced. Ok. Sometimes.
