Hi everyone!
My fiancee and I are moving from Alaska to Kauai this coming week. It's a fairly by-the-seat of our pants transition, but it won't be the first one we've made, so I'm looking forward to the adventure tremendously. Our plan is to find a spot we can buy and put some work into to turn into a home in the long run. We'll see.
I've felt it was time to move from Alaska for a while (grew up there) and Hawai'i is one of the few places that - quite outside the generally lovely weather - spoke to me in terms of nature, pace of life, and individuals met. It seemed wise to join an online community and see what you folks were chatting about and try and gain some wisdom!
