HawaiiThreads has only been around since April 2004. The only other discussion board relating to the HawaiiStories web site was around the Fall 2003 time frame when there were problems with HawaiiStories itself which got solved.

Remember that HawaiiThreads.com is also the successor to a handful of other, topic-focused message boards that used to be hosted elsewhere for other groups. We've taken local media pundits and practitioners, local geocachers, and Jeep lovers the world over under our thatched roof.

I think Rio_Grande eventually found his posse in the 4Bangers United group.
