    Hey guys,

Very friendly forum you have here, nice to meet y'all.

My wife and I came here from Canada a couple years ago, (I'm an internet geek, she's an astronomer and the reason we're here) and we're loving it.

It was lonely at the start without our friends back home, but the internet kept us connected and we're finding Hawaii to be very different from the mainland, in lots of good ways.

Oooh, and we've got a 6-month old keiki who keeps us hoppin'! Anyways, nice to meet ya.

Hello Aaron, yes you are correct it is a very friendly form and welcome. I'm also relatively new, how long have you been living in Hawaii?

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. greentara - we've been here a couple years now, and the idea of going back to The Cold World Out There is mighty scary!

That is so funny; you have the link for Kiva on your blog ~ tag line. I love synchronicty ~ I just discovered Kiva yesterday. I think it started here in the City. Very cool idea I'm telling all of my friends about it. People helping people doesn't get much better! I will be choosing my project/investment today along with some friends. Are you thinking of leaving Hawaii? If so why?

You refered to the “the cold world out there” (the idea of going back to The Cold World Out There is mighty scary!) I will be moving to Kaua'i in September and everytime I visit it feels like a warm cozy world almost womb like in the sense that it makes me a “softer” person.

Yeah, Kiva's pretty cool huh? I'm excited to get notified when people have paid the money back, and I get to go loan it out again. I'll bet that never gets old.

We're not thinking of leaving Hawaii anytime soon, though it mostly depends on my wife's work.

Moving to Kaua'i will be wonderful I bet. I hope you love it!

                  Hey akrauth,

Thanks for the reply, but you guessed right - I'd probably need a bit of translating help if you don't mind!

I know I will love it, just a hassle getting everything together for the move. My mind, spirit, and soul are there already just have to get the body there.
