Aloha, Markus. We have a friend here in Seattle who is married to an Austrian citizen, so they spend half the year living there. She is an `ukulele player (there's the tentative Hawai`i connection), and has gotten a few of her Austrian friends to start playing as well.

She's also an excellent photographer and writer, with a fascinating blog called "Nerd's Eye View." Some of her writings about Austria can be found here.

Leo Lakio, the austrian ukulele playing hasn't reached me yet. But I've been thinking about it for some time. Gotta improve my guitar-playing before before taking on the ukulele. Although, I guess that playing the ukulele is probably easier. Also read some of the blog... thanks!
