I'm halfway through The Fortune Cookie Chronicles by Jennifer 8. Lee (no typo) and it's a fun read. I had no idea the cookies I regularly pillaged as a child from my grandparents' Chinese restaurant may have been originally derived from senbei introduced to San Francisco at the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park! What's more, they appear to have been first produced en masse from the mochi shop in SF J-Town that we still go to today!

I've heard it played with "in the butt" as well.
