BAMP Project, Hawaii's premier concert production company brings the 80's back with Flock of Seagull's and When in Rome live on Oahu, August 31 and on Maui, September 1, 2012.

Flock of Seagulls is a British Grammy Award-winning "synthpop" group that was a hit on MTV in the early 1980s for music videos of their songs, "I Ran (So Far Away)" and "Space Age Love Song," the latter of which showed off lead singer Mike Score's distinct haircut. The original band split in 1985, but Score put together a new band in 1995. Among the band's other hits are "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)" and "The More You Live, the More You Love." During the past decade, some of their songs were added to video games, bringing a whole new generation into their fan base.

On November 21st, 2010, "Space Age Love Song" was used on the Cartoon Network animated series Sym-Bionic Titan in the Season 1, Episode 10 entitled "Lessons in Love." And since then YouTube videos of the song have increased by the tens of thousands introducing a new decade to the Flock of Seagulls for even greater recognition as one of the best "new wave" bands in the 1980s once again.

When in Rome started as an electro-dance trio from England that had a world wide hit with the single, "The Promise," in 1988. Composed of Clive Farrington and Andrew Mann on vocals, and Michael Floreale on keyboards. When in Rome released one self-titled album after the success of their debut single, that reached 1 on the Billboard Top 100 chart, before splitting up.

Though the original group parted ways, "The Promise" lived on through movies like Napoleon Dynamite and remakes by rock groups New Found Glory and Anberlin. Floreale reformed When in Rome in 2006 with a new team, since then the group has been touring all over North and South America.
