    Maybe it's been mentioned before - or maybe Platte outlined this as part of TheChanges - but I just noticed that the Saturday Advertiser no longer has an editorial page or letters to the editor. No thinking on Saturday I guess . . .

    Oh, yeah, and Platte did write today about the shrinking page - losing a couple of inches in page size.

      That first started three or four weeks ago. I noticed it then. I imagine they had a reason for doing that, though I can't imagine why.

      No thinking on Saturday I guess . . .
      Not much, anyway. Or Sunday either.

      As for the new size, I saw the mention yesterday and then the reduced columns today. They're using the last of the existing paper before they go to the smaller size, and I think they said it would be later this week.
