Point being that skin shots like those in Burger's column don't belong in a family viewed newspaper. At least put his column in the sports section with the rest of the Bar ads where little eyes won't typically tread.

There isn't any more skin in those particular pictures than shots that might run with coverage of swimming, water polo, surfing or a number of other ocean-related activities.

And I love how Berger can print pictures of old people at theater and art parties for WEEKS, but as soon as a bikini shows up it's "soft core" complaints up the wazoo.

Don't like it? Don't look at it. And those "little eyes" are probably seeing a lot worse on television and the Internet.

I believe the Guild gave the S-B an exception to the "no photos by reporters" rule in the contract that they have not been willing to give The Advertiser.

This is in addition to the voluntary wage cuts S-B Guild members have taken and the current status of working without a contract.

Yes indeedy, that is the point. Reponses here have drifted all over the place, but what you wrote there, Craig, is why the thread was started.
There was another thread on this same topic a while back, too. You folks can see it at this link... all 85 messages!
