            =====================
            Thanks Kimo

            I never knew about Kinch and the radio station. Funny thing, the article mentioned LD "Lil David" Reynolds. I think that was the DJ that my friends and I used to flood with phone calls when he had a pop music show on KMVI on Maui. That would have been circa 1968.

              Re: Death of a former . . .

              LD Reynolds was on KMVI for a long time in the 60s and 70s. Used to listen to him in the nights. He used to do the KMVI Top 35 weekly countdown show and the year end Maui KMVI Top 100 hits of the year show.

              Sad to hear of Ivan Dixon's passing. Many remember him on "Hogan's Heroes" and I knew that he owned KONI at one time. They started off as a top 40 station and then switched to oldies, which continues today. 104.7 FM.
              I'm still here. Are you?

                I worked for Ivan at KONI. He was a very nice man. He sold the station in 02 due to health reasons. He really loved radio and in fact he had bought the station for his son. His son passed in an accident a few months before the station opened.
