hi this is sansei and in response to Likanui,what khnl tell's you when you spoke to them is what is true and no one know's not even myself would know when Sharie's returning only when I E-mailed the News Director,he told me the same so either way,the way you called them or i e-mailed them,we would end up with the same answer. hi this is sansei and i only learned this much on sharie that when I E-mailed the Khnl news director that sometime when Sharie's ready,she'll return not right away only maybe month's to come only that's what i learned in E-mail from Khnl's news director said so Im not sure how many month's from now and it's good to use e-mail so we as her viewer's will be able to watch the best meterologist Sharie back at work

hi this is sansei and i wish to share from only a rumor that i learned that sharie's out on personal leave and not sure from the e-mail i received on sharie if the rumor is true that she'd be possibly return i mid march,not sure on this also.i hope this may help everyone's thought's here on sharie?

Though I'm sure Sharie and KHNL appreciates the concern as to the reason of her not appearing on air of late, we should just respect her privacy and the gossip and rumors should be private and not openly discussed. I'm sure we'll know more information when it is circulated into the media officially.

Agreed. I talked to soemone @ KHNL. Seems they have been recieving quite a bit of inquires regarding Sharie's absence. I started off being funny about this. I am soemwhat concerned about this now.

Its apparent to me howver, that Sharie's absence is a serious matter. Whatever her reasons for being absent, I wish her well and may she get through her challenges.

Hopefully we will see you back on the air soon!

The absence of Sharie Shima really bothers me and hope she's alright, physically and emotionally. Paul Drewes is working a lot these days at KHNL to fill-in for her...

I would guess that we should have heard by now the reason for her absence. If it was simply a management decision, Erika Engle would have written a column about it by now. My guess is that there is a sort of self-censorship going on which I would assume means bad news. I hope not but the lack of news seems odd.
