On KITV’s 5pm news tonight, sportscaster Robert Kekaula was doing his segment and the last item was about the results of a big boxing match. Catherine Cruz was the anchorperson tonight, and she said she didn’t like boxing, then asked Robert if he was a boxer.
He only paused for a heartbeat before saying no and quickly changing the subject.
Apparently Catherine forgot all about the incident in late 1997 when Robert was fired from KHNL for assaulting KHNL’s executive producer Alex McGehee in the newsroom. (If you forgot the incident, see this story or others like it.)
So yes, Catherine, ol’ Robert has been a boxer at least once.

hmmm, that doesn't really make sense actually, because as i recall robert didn't actually hit anyone. grabbed someone forcefully maybe but i don't think he ever actually struck him.
