Re: Bye-bye, Sarah Palin
I hope she fades into the political mediocrity she so richly deserves.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised to see her join "The View" sometime soon. That or afternoon T.V. ala Sally Jesse Rafael,.“First we fought the preliminary round for the k***s and now we’re gonna fight the main event for the n*****s."

Re: Bye-bye, Sarah Palin
Newsweek reports:
"At the GOP convention in St. Paul, Palin was completely unfazed by the boys' club fraternity she had just joined. One night, Steve Schmidt and Mark Salter went to her hotel room to brief her. After a minute, Palin sailed into the room wearing nothing but a towel, with another on her wet hair. She told them to chat with her laconic husband, Todd. "I'll be just a minute," she said"
I think Newsweek has this all mixed up. I think what they were reporting on was a clip from the Hustler porn movie, "Who's Nailin' Palin?" I also wonder if this is how Todd got his nickname, "One Minute Todd"?Peace, Love, and Local Grindz

Re: Bye-bye, Sarah Palin
Newsweek also reports:
"NEWSWEEK has also learned that Palin's shopping spree at high-end department stores was more extensive than previously reported. While publicly supporting Palin, McCain's top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy. One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist. But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family--clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill. Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. One aide estimated that she spent "tens of thousands" more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband. Some articles of clothing have apparently been lost. An angry aide characterized the shopping spree as "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast," and said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books."
I love the line, "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus!" Hey, but it's all going to charity, right? Right? Huh, I can't hear you! Those clothes were like putting "lipstick on a pig."Peace, Love, and Local Grindz

Re: Bye-bye, Sarah Palin
And finally from Newsweek:
"Palin asked to speak along with McCain at his Arizona concession speech Tuesday night, but campaign strategist Steve Schmidt vetoed the request"
Is there no end to this woman's narcissitic conceit? This woman loves the spotlight. She's still running for the title of Miss Alaska. She has major psychological issues. America dodged a lethal bullet.Peace, Love, and Local Grindz

Maybe that is why she was quietly sobbing. Would have been funny if she spoke a word someone would be commanding the camera to break away.

Re: Bye-bye, Sarah Palin
Perhaps she was crying because she was told not to utter a word at the concession speech. The only future I see her in politics is possibly a Senator from Alaska, maybe even a talk show at some point in time.
On a national scale she had an opportunity and it has now passed.
