That is part and parcel of Obama's plan.......no exclusions for pre-existinng conditions.

The legal challenge is far from over.

Of course, now the question would be ... how much will the insurance companies charge us every month (or pay period) to keep the healthcare plan? What would be the minimum plan coverage across the board?

I don't mind the mandate that Americans MUST carry health insurance...

... IF they mandate that healthcare insurance companies MUST accept new applicants regardless of their current medical condition.

ooo ooo back in the '90's when the insurance companies slaughtered Mrs. Clinton's health plan they used a couple in their ads, I don't recall the stage names but the fun part is the guy who played the hubby who was so against Clinton Care got an expensive disease and his insurance company dropped him and he died, ha ha isn't that funny? Karma I guess. We do have death panels, its the insurance companies.

Its fine with me. Obama's plan would save loads of billions of dollars. The insurance companies like it because of 40 million new customers. So if the supreme republican ct strikes it down that will only help even more people to hate loathe and revile the courts, that is always a step in the right direction. Americans will migrate to countries like Mexico and Canada for sane affordable health care. They already are. And finally America will be left with a tiny little nexus of insured people, a few hundred thousand or so, and even they will get dropped as soon as they get expensively sick. Everybody else goes bankrupt and dies in the street. Kind of like India 100 years ago. What a glorious vision for America. Thanks a bunch.

A federal appeals court panel on Friday struck down the requirement in President Barack Obama's health care overhaul package that virtually all Americans must carry health insurance or face penalties.

The divided three-judge panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals struck down the so-called individual mandate, which is considered the centrepiece of the law, siding with 26 states that had sued to block the law. But the panel didn’t go as far as a lower court that had invalidated the entire overhaul as unconstitutional.
