This was best exemplified by Reaganomics which relied on the "trickle down" concept, where tax breaks for the wealthy would trickle down to the working class in massive jobs growth. That experiment didn't end well when it resulted in a massive recession. Trickle down economics was soundly repudiated by that experiment.

Today, were are being trumped again by the same give tax breaks to the wealthy, trickle down economics theory. This again will result in a massive recession. But to look on the bright side, a recession will assure the demise of one of the most unqualified Presidents in history. Then it will be up to a Democratic President to come in and clean up the mess like President Obama did after the Shrub left office.
