Eh Kimo wen I stay ova in Oahu was choke up wit da traffic but wen I stay Big Island wow lau lau, everybody stay using da word choke moa den Oahu stay use em. But da pidgin ova hea stay moa dakine so choke sound like dakine chinese rice soup you know dakine we make da "O" sound moa long on Oahu but Big Island stay like dey choking da neck wen dey say choke.
Oh by the way I no stay as old as you but I stay kamaiina since 1960 (born in Kapiolani Medical Center...like who wasn't).
