Luckily we haven't been hit by it. In fact, we're very, very lucky that we came out here when we did. Jason's company still has other projects, but the one he's on right now is the biggest, and it's guaranteed through next year. I actually just got a recruiting position that I'm starting later this month. But from what I've heard there, at the beginning of this year, that company had 60 jobs it was filling. Now they're working on 15-20. Ouch. I feel very blessed and fortunate to have found a job so quickly here.
From what I'm hearing from friends back in Dallas, it's starting to slowly hit there now, especially in the IT and BI areas. As one of Jason's friends put it, "Dude, don't come back now. Stay there as long as you can. Things just suck right now here for jobs."
Can't think of anything creative this time
