So, you mean you want to keep both running separately but have each computer's events reflected on the other? (You're not asking how to migrate from one machine to another.) Well, there are several free iCal syncing services to take the place of .Mac. They include iCal Exchange, ifreebusy.com (d'oh, closed to new users), and tweaks to use Box.net.
After you've got your calendars online, one way is to connect your iCal calendar to Google Calendar (or Yahoo! Calendar), have that calendar "shared" or even public, and then subscribe to it on the other iCal install.
Of course, with Mac OSX Server, you can run your own calendar hosting box. And with WebDAV on it, you can publish it and share it like iCal Exchange.
The easiest route would be to be a .Mac subscriber. Or, to start using Google Calendar as your main calendaring system, and just subscribe to it in iCal to display it.
so sue do they know your face when you walk through the door?
Yes...and my name!
By the end of this week I'll have walked thru the Apple Stores door 4 times in 5 days...once for procare (tutoring), once for genius bar (installation) and 2 workshops. I get my money's worth!!!
