NTFS vs FAT32

bought an external hard drive and wasn't excited or anything; just wanted to back up some data so i took it out of the box and just mindlessly set it up and started transferring data from my hard drive to the external drive... until i hit a file that's greater than 4 gigs; ugh. then i realized that this external drive is fat32.

i can use premiere to cut my video clips into parts to make the transfer but more fundamentally, do you guys recommend that i start all over and change it to ntfs?
