  • Save time while web surfing

(the title is an oxymoron, isn't it?)

CommonCraft has created an easy to understand tutorial, which shows how to make your favorite websites tell you when they have new stuff to look at. Instead of wasting your time every day checking for new stuff, the new stuff comes to you.

After you understand how RSS works, you'll need a RSS reader. There are two main types:

    • client based (which is a stand alone program on your computer)
    • web based (a website where you set up a free account)

Since I already have a gmail account, I'm using Google Reader. I don't have experience with any others. Perhaps fellow HT'ers will share the ones they like and dislike.
