  • iTunes to CD problem

Tried helping a friend convert his itunes playlist to CD but the itunes page had no burn 'button' as shown here - http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1436
The page was identical minus the burn button.

He also had a windows page with another playlist and eventually everything went fine in transferring.

Why would the itunes page not have the burn button?

    Re: itunes to cd problem

Looks like a lot of people have the same problem. I'd check all the links out myself and offer suggestions, but that sounds like something a good friend would love to do. Good luck!

      To quote Deano...

Well ain't that a kick in the head?!

Thanx man, at least my frustration is shared.

I guess there's no way to get past it, at least w/out losing the playlist first which would defeat the ideal plan.
      Windows it is!

isn't there a way to convert iTunes files to WAV or MP3?

I saw some MP3 routes but the sound quality loss factor becomes too prohibitive for my tastes.

you can stay uncompressed with WAV files. But it shouldn't matter since iTunes music is compressed anyway.

Does windows compress? He's gonna dump the itunes page. And thanx for the wav info!

Windows version is WMA and its a touch better than MP3 and yes it's compressed.

I'm not sure but isn't iTunes using AAC compression?
