Been running Microsoft Security Essentials for several months now. At work on win XP and at home on Win 7. So far so good. No problems and it 'has' caught potential threats. Our 'hired' tech guys at work's opinion are that it's not better/worse than AVG. I tend to run malwarebytes as well as CCleaner regularly.-kp!
