  • eWaste Disposal Day, Oct. 30

eWaste Disposal Day: Oct. 30 at Statewide UH Campuses, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. For more info including maps, acceptable items and how to erase data:
    http://www.hawaii.edu/ewaste/

Power adapters are not shown on the acceptable item list. Does anyone know where I can recycle them? I can't imagine they're safe to put in the household trash can. I'm into a major purge right now and am looking forward to getting rid of all this stuff!

Power adapters are accepted at the customer service kiosk at Best Buy. There's a rechargeable battery recycling bin near the elevator. Now looking forward to an ePurge on 10/30!

Purge related...free shredding, up to 4 file boxes, on 10/23, 9-11a, at the Home Depot Kapolei parking lot.

Good to know, Craig. HD didn't show up on the short list on the web site I checked. Wish I could remember which web site that was.

          Conflicting messages!

I thought November 2 was the day to dispose of the trash! By ballot.
